What we do
At Tavla Dünyası, we bring together backgammon and chess models made with different production techniques, materials and design approaches.
- Modern backgammon boards: Designed with leather-covered bodies, custom patterns and graphics, a choice of colours and playing surfaces reminiscent of billiard cloth. They can be personalised with names, logos, patterns and graphics to suit personal or corporate preferences.
- Carved backgammon boards: Made from durable woods such as walnut, hornbeam, mahogany and oak, with carved and relief details on the surface. In these models, where traditional craftsmanship comes to the fore, the board is designed to be a long-lasting playing set as much as a decorative piece.
- Khatam and inlaid backgammon boards: Special boards with geometric patterns created by bringing small pieces together and fine inlay details, notable for their craftsmanship and visual character.
- Backgammon & chess: Dual-purpose sets with backgammon on one side and chess on the other. Combining two different games in a single piece, these models are a distinctive choice both for play and as a gift.
- Chess sets: Classic and custom-designed chess sets in a range of designs and materials.

Materials and craftsmanship
Choosing the right material is one of the most important factors in shaping the character of our products.
Carved backgammon boards use durable woods such as walnut, hornbeam, mahogany and oak. The texture, colour and natural appearance of each wood give the product its own character.
In modern backgammon boards, leather covering, the playing surface, cloth, colour and custom design come together to create a more contemporary look.
While handcraft plays a more prominent role in carved and inlaid models, design, choice of materials and personalisation options come to the fore in modern models. Although production details vary by model, our aim with every product is to strike a balance between aesthetic appeal and the experience of use.

Tavla Dünyası offers both ready-made products and products that can be made to order.
